Forests, meadows, and snow-covered ridges (in winter) make this trek ideal for beginners as well as photographers.

2. Day-Wise Full Itinerary

DAY 1 — Rishikesh → Joshimath (Drive)

  • 8–9 hr drive along Alaknanda Valley

  • Evening acclimatization walk

  • Overnight stay in Joshimath

DAY 2 — Joshimath → Dhak (Drive) → Gulling (Trek)

  • Short drive to Dhak trailhead

  • Trek through village terraces and oak forests

  • Campsite at Gulling with first views of Dronagiri

  • Trek Duration: 4–5 hrs

DAY 3 — Gulling → Talli

  • Forest section opens into beautiful meadows

  • Campsite surrounded by oak & rhododendron

DAY 4 — Talli → Kuari Pass (~3,900m) → Auli

  • Early climb to Kuari Pass viewpoint

  • Walk across Gorson Bugyal

  • Long descent to Auli

  • Trek Duration: 7–8 hrs

DAY 5 — Auli → Rishikesh (Drive)

  • Return drive
