Tungnath – World’s Highest Shiva Temple

Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world, located at an altitude of 3,680 meters (12,073 ft) in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. It is one of the sacred Panch Kedar temples, associated with Lord Shiva, and lies just above Chopta, often called the Mini Switzerland of India.

Tungnath uniquely combines deep spirituality with an easy Himalayan trek, making it one of the most accessible high-altitude pilgrimage sites.
